Letras brutais

Nada do que foi será
De novo do jeito que já foi um dia
Tudo passa
Tudo sempre passará
A vida vem em ondas
Como um mar
Num indo e vindo infinito
Tudo que se vê não é
Igual ao que a gente
Viu há um segundo
Tudo muda o tempo todo
No mundo
Não adianta fugir
Nem mentir
Pra si mesmo agora
Há tanta vida lá fora
Aqui dentro sempre
Como uma onda no mar
Como uma onda no mar
Como uma onda no mar
Nada do que foi será
De novo do jeito
Que já foi um dia
Tudo passa
Tudo sempre passará
A vida vem em ondas
Como um mar
Num indo e vindo infinito
Tudo que se vê não é
Igual ao que a gente
Viu há um segundo
Tudo muda o tempo todo
No mundo
Não adianta fugir
Nem mentir pra si mesmo agora
Há tanta vida lá fora
Aqui dentro sempre

The existencial void [...]  It is lived deeply, in explicit or implicit form, in daily life of each human being all of the time that they questioned themselves, reflecting about their lives. In a similar way it is present in innumerable life situations, the existential emptiness can also be understood, be filled up, be brightened up and be received in some circumstances – they are present through the philosophy that tries to apprehend and to explain its essence; through the work that provides to the individual a direction of utility and well-being; by arts in general, since the same ones fill or put out feelings and experiences; with the religion that tries to give a direction and feeling of transcendence to the believers; or even through Psychology that provides to the patient a true diving in inside its essence, making possible to understand themselves and to accept them as they truly are. Finally, the existential void can be felt in all the fields of human being’s life - in greater or minor degree. And, by its importance, deserves a deepened study and work concerning its thematic. All of that demonstrates the necessity of Psychology in understanding and learning to deal with this so peculiar moment in the life of all human being: the existential emptiness and human void.

Manias

Pinned Image

In the past generation we’ve seen the amount of sugar we consume grow exponentially. Until recently, we had been eating sugar mainly found naturally in foods. It was used as a treat or in small quantities and was never a problem. But today, over a third of the calories we consume come from sugar or white flour, which is highly refined and acts just like sugar in our system. Our bodies cannot cope with such an enormous load. Sugar gives you an initial high, then you crash, then you crave more, so you consume more sugar. It’s this series of highs and lows that provoke unnecessary stress on your adrenals. You get anxious, moody (sugar is a mood-altering drug) and eventually you feel exhausted.
Sugar is also associated with many chronic problems that include decreased immunity, some chronic infections, autoimmune diseases, heart disease, diabetes, pain syndromes, irritable bowel syndrome, ADD, chronic fatigue, and candida. Research suggests that one of the main causes for decreased immunity is that sugars inhibit the entrance of Vitamin C into white blood cells, which then inhibits immunity. The more sugar, the less productive your white blood cells are and thus, the less immune you are. Furthermore, sugars stimulate insulin secretion in the pancreas, which in turn stimulates the liver’s triglyceride production. Triglycerides are linked to stroke, heart disease and obesity. The list goes on and on. This week, Dr. Frank Lipman provides us with all the info on how to curb a sugar addiction.
